Sojourn™ - La Dolce Vita - captured the rich heritage, breathtaking art, romance, sophistication, and elegance of Italy during the fifth annual international celebration of wine, cuisine and culture to benefit WEDU. The seduction of Italy from its piazzas and painters, dreamy light and sumptuous landscapes – in the very cradle of the Renaissance – captured the imagination of 500 guests during what has been voted “The Best Black Tie Fundraising Gala” in west central Florida. A gourmet, wine-paired dinner and lavish entertainment were at the heart of this “ultimate party for the ultimate people.” The experience of Italy’s sweet life – on the eve of St. Valentine’s Day, made for a deliciously romantic indulgence

You’ll be virtually transported through the country  to experience the aroma of fresh basil permeating from authentic ristorantes to the sight of Versace-clad Italians racing through the ancient streets of Rome on their candy-colored Vespas. The embrace of Tuscany’s lush countryside filled with vineyards and villas to the marina on the Amalfi coast brimming with vessels bobbing in the warm waters off sun-soaked Mediterranean beaches, will romance you into a world where spirited feasts celebrating patron saints and the artistry of Michelangelo’s work are part of everyday life. From emotion-evoking operas to the festivities of carnaval; eclectic art galleries and cavernous night clubs of Turin to the tranquil fields and olive groves of the Umbrian hill town of Assisi - all this and more will come to life during Sojourn™ – a trip worth taking.
