WEDU and

the PBS News Hour

On the last stop of a two-year, five city tour, members of the PBS NewsHour were in the Tampa Bay region this week of to demonstrate how a model for the coordination of national and local reporting and engagement of our community around local issues of national importance can work.

During this Spotlight City Series in Tampa Bay, several PBS NewsHour correspondents have told important local and regional stories each night during a special segment on the 7-8 p.m. news program. In addition, Judy Woodruff, Gwen Ifill, Paul Solman and Spencer Michels moderated community forums, coordinated by WEDU, featuring area experts, designed to explore issues relevant to west central Florida and beyond.
